William “Bill” C. Nichols, age 62, of Oak Hill, quietly snuck out to meet his wife in heaven on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021.  He was born in Gallipolis, Ohio on Aug. 31, 1958.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Lynn Nichols; and his father, William E. Nichols.

He is survived by his mother, Ruth M. (Rasp) Nichols; his son, William (Lisa) Nichols II; his daughter, Ashly (Charley) McKibben; three grandchildren: Cami, Brentley, and Rheagan; his siblings: Mark Nichols and Ellen Nichols; and his beloved pup named Dinky Dog.

Many friends knew Bill as “Breeze.”  He never met a person he couldn’t talk to and call his friend. He was known and loved by so many.  He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Patriot Guard. He loved riding his motorcycle, grilling good food, growing a bountiful garden, tending his honey bees, and most of all, enjoying time with his family. He was kind, funny and a true gentleman with a heart of gold.  Shine on, Breeze! We toast to you.

Cremation services are being handled by the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home in Jackson.
