Virginia Lee Shields, age 89, of Jackson, passed away on October 25, 2021 at her home. She was born in Jackson County on August 23, 1932, to the late Thomas W. Musick and Freda (Sheline) Musick. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy, age 7, in 1965. She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Thomas D. Musick in 1984, and Merrill David Music in 2016. She is survived by her daughter, Joy Diane Shields-Miller, MD and Joy’s husband, David E. Miller, PhD. She is also survived by her niece, Dawn (Musick) Lanning, and a nephew, Judge Mark Musick also of Jackson.
Calling hours will be on Saturday, October 30, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home. Funeral services will be October 30 at 2 p.m. with Dr. James Pollard officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home in Jackson.
