Vera Jane Nicholson, age 76 of Wellston, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born in Ironton, Ohio on September 11, 1939 to the late Lindsey and Bada (Morgan) Wilson.
Besides her parents, her husband, Joe Nicholson; a daughter, Diane Dailey; a brother, Harold Wilson; and a sister, Shirley Dailey, preceded her in death.
Vera is survived by her daughters: Barbara Doles, Sherry (Robert) Corvin and Jody (Rick) Goff; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers: Gene Wilson, Donald Wilson and Gary Wilson; and sisters: Phyllis Bowens, Carolyn Allen and Alma Massie.
Vera was a homemaker. She was a long-time member of the Coalton Freewill Baptist Church, participating with the Ladies Circle and the choir.
Funeral services will be held at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 17, with Brother Tim Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in the Coalton Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 16 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
