Terry Lee Bates, age 64, of Oak Hill, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at the Kobacker House in Columbus. He was born January 26, 1950 in Oak Hill to the late Murley and Tina (Martin) Bates. He attended Oak Hill High School.
Terry is survived by his daughter, Brandi Bates; fiance, Bonnie Cook; sister, Linda (Al) Mapes; brother, Kim Bates; and grandchildren, Hailey Paulins, Chris Bates Jr., and Ashley Bates.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Polly (Brofford) Bates, and his son, Christopher Bates.
A graveside service will be held 10a.m. Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Horeb Cemetery in Oak Hill with burial to follow. Friends may call Friday, December 5, 2014 from 4-7 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill.
