Terry L. Hicks, age 64, of Wellston, Ohio, passed away Friday, Jan. 8th, 2021 at the James Cancer Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was born July 1st, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Ted and Annette (Bentley) Hicks Gussler.
Terry served in the U.S. Navy for two years. He was a former employee of the Goodyear plant for 31 years. He also owned his own body shop for 42 years. Terry’s auto body work was well-known with trophies to show it.
He is survived by his long-time wife, Susie (McCoy) Hicks; son, Terry (Liz) Hicks; children: Kathy (David) Perkins and Michael Clarkson; sisters: Tonya (Chris) Sturgill, Barbara (Ronnie) Downey, Rhonda (Tim) Jaggers, and Annetta (Jamie) Baker; grandchildren: Tyler, Rylan, Cheyenne, Haylee, Candace, Michael, and Cayden; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, J.C. Gussler and nephew, Jeffrey Cecil Gussler.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 13th, 2021 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Larry Boggs officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
