Steven Daniel Snyder

Steven Daniel Snyder, age 67, of Oak Hill, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 23rd, 2016. He was born December 12th, 1948 to the late Carl and Eva (Crabtree) Snyder.

Danny served in the U.S. Army 1st Armoured Division from 1968-1970. He was a decorated Veteran from the Vietnam War in which he served from 1968 to 1969. Danny was awarded The Purple Heart with one oak leaf cluster twice, a Bronze Star, Combat Infantry Badge, Air Medal, and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm.

He is survived by one brother, David (Dolly) Snyder of Albany, Indiana; five sisters: Melba Boggs, Donna Adkins, Patsy Snyder, and Sandy (Jay) Potter all of Oak Hill, Ohio and Bonnie (Robert) Kuhn of Ridgeville, Indiana; as well as several nieces, nephews, and close friends. Danny was loved by all and will be sadly missed. Danny you will never be forgotten…

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant siblings, Madalene and Billy; three brothers: Carl Jr., Paul Robert, and John Snyder; and two sisters, Hazel McCoy and Shirley Adkins.

Calling hours were held Sunday, June 26th, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 27th, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Scott Hutchinson officiating. Burial will follow at Horeb Cemetery.
