Stephanie Dawn Lewis

Stephanie Dawn Lewis, age 33, of Rio Grande, Ohio, passed away Friday, July 5, 2019. She was born Oct. 9, 1985 in Gallipolis, Ohio to Rodney and Christine (Clark) Lewis of Rio Grande, Ohio.

 In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Jessica (Siders) Kahler and brother-in-law, Ben Kahler of Gainesville, Florida; niece, Adara Kahler of Gainesville, Florida; nephew, Rhys Kahler of Gainesville, Florida; and grandmothers, Wilma Lewis and Juanita Clark of Jackson, Ohio; as well as her beloved pet Maltese of over 12 years, Woofer T. Lewis.

 She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Don Clark and Tom Lewis.

 Stephanie had a very passionate heart to help those in need. She traveled overseas on a mission trip to the United Kingdom to witness and minister to the Muslim population. She was active in church functions within the churches she attended in Ohio and Georgia. One of her special desires was to help Veterans obtain suitable housing. She loved spending time with her niece and nephew, who both had a special place in heart.

 Stephanie attended Jackson City Schools from Kindergarten through 6th grade. She graduated from Brookville High School in Snellville, Georgia in 2004. She earned a Bachelor of Business from George College & State University and went on to obtain her MBA from Georgia College and State University.

 Family and friends may call on Thursday, July 11, 2019 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. A memorial service will be held immediately following at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Jack Hughes officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
