Shirley K. (Jenkins) Stapleton, age 72, of Oak Hill went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 13 at Ohio State University in Columbus. She was born in Eifort, Ohio to the late George and Stella (Caldwell) Jenkins.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Ray Stapleton; and her brother, Selvin Jenkins.
She is survived by her son, Darrell Anthony Stapleton; her sister, Betty Buckley; brothers, Calvin (Barb) Jenkins, George Jenkins, and Bob (Sherry) Jenkins. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Shirley graduated from South Webster High School in 1967. She then met her husband, Darrell, in 1973 and together they married on December 22, 1979. Shirley loved going to the Smokey Mountains with her husband and singing in her church. She was an avid animal lover. She will be dearly missed and forever loved by her son, Darrell Anthony Stapleton.
