Sharron Y. Ramsey, age 68, of Dayton, and a former resident of Wellston, passed away Tuesday morning, December 9, 2014, at the Heartland of Miamisburg. She was born June 11, 1946 in Wellston, Ohio to the late Daniel P. Ramsey and Mabel M. Gray Ramsey.
Sharron was a 1964 graduate of Wellston High School. She was a former clerk at the Wellston Sundry and News, former clerk and manager at the Hallmark Store in the Dayton Mall and a former employee of the Paper Factory in Dayton. Sharron attended the Union Chapel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her siblings, Mel Ramsey (Doris) of Simpsonville, SC, Ila Compston of Wellston, Sue Johnston (Joe) of Dayton and Roger Ramsey (Mary) of Wellston; sister-in-law, Patty Ramsey Miller of Belpre, as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and special friends, Sauni, Rita and Pat.
Besides her parents, Sharron was preceded in death by infant siblings, Billy and Betty Ramsey; brothers, Dan Ramsey, Jr. (Doris) and Jim Ramsey; sister, Marilyn Ramsey, and brother-in-law, John Compston.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will Friday at 11 a.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Mo Dunn officiating.
