Sharon A. (Meacham) Lowry

Sharon A. (Meacham) Lowry, 70, formerly of Coalton, died at 3:50 a.m. Sunday, July 12, 2015, at the Burlington Care Center in Burlington.

Born August 14, 1944, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Judson and Ruth Poe Meacham. Sharon retired for General Mills in Wellston. She graduated from Coalton High School.

She enjoyed listening to music, dancing, spending time with her sisters, and she loved her pets.

Survivors include one daughter, Tammy (Jim) Payne of Burlington; one son, Jerry “Bub” Lowry of Jackson; one granddaughter, Kaitlyn Lowry of Rio Grande; and two sisters, Kitty Hull of Jackson, and Sandy Swick of Whitehall.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry, her parents, four brothers, Virgil, Sonny, Johnny, and Bobby and three sisters, Margie, JoAnn, and Ruthie.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, at Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson.

The funeral service for Mrs. Lowry will be 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, at Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
