Sara Queen Green Andrews

Sara Queen Green Andrews, age 89, went to her heavenly home Jan. 7, 2017. She was born Aug. 17, 1927 in Catlettsburg, Kentucky to the late Dudley Green and Myrtle Hamilton Green and the woman she called mom, Gladys Conley Green. She was a loving mother and housewife and a member of the Jackson First Church of the Nazarene for over 60 years.

She is survived by her son, Charles D. Andrews; daughter, Elaine (Thomas) Wyatt; grandchildren, Denise Johnson, Tom Wyatt Jr. (Jessica), Shauna Dulaney, Jeremy Wyatt, Andrea (Jessie) Barrows and Marilee Wyatt; great-grandchildren, Steven (Kim) Johnson, Andrew Johnson, Wayne Jones, Karlee Jones, Logan and Maizie Wyatt, Brock and Bryce Dulaney, Timothy, Jordan, Jaylin, Ryver, Nakia Wyatt, Dakota, Halle-Jo and Sarah Martin; and great-great-grandchildren, Greyson Johnson and Gage Boswell. She is also survived by sisters: Fannie Bregant, Mary Ann Whaley, Sue (Paul) House and Vicki (Jim) Stewart; brothers, Bill (Marilyn) Green and Paul (Candi) Green; brother-in-law, Alford Richards; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles “Duke” Andrews; sisters, Nettie Summers, Martha Litteral, Della Chapman, Marva Richards, Sandi Souders, Thelma Jean Rice and Patty Jo Green; and brothers, George, Bert, Dudley, Robert, Danny and L.J.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Jackson First Church of the Nazarene, c/o Children and Youth Program, 251 Powell Drive, Jackson, Ohio 45640.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017 at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Queen, Pastor Jim Stewart and Pastor Todd Barlow officiating. Burial will follow in the Coalton Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017 at the funeral home.
