Samuel Paschall Turck

Samuel Paschall Turck, age 81, of Jackson, passed away Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020 at Riverside Methodist in Columbus.  He was born March 30, 1938 in Jackson to the late Hank and Sue (Clay) Turck. 

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara (Stewart) Turck; children, Debbie (Dave) Hendershot, of Maryland, Judy (Gib) Kiefer, of Jackson and Jay (Kim) Turck, of Jackson; daughter-in-law, Courtney Turck; brother, Clay (Janet) Turck, of Cincinnati; grandchildren; Zach (Jessica) Kiefer, Anna Marie (Lucas) Gratz, Kendel Arthur, Klayton Arthur and Aidan Turck; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Brian Turck and grandson, Shane Kiefer. 

Sam graduated from Jackson High School in 1956.  He retired from Columbus and Southern Electric Company as a lineman in 1998.  He was a member of the Jackson Historical Society and First Baptist Church of Jackson. 

Per Sam’s request, his body was cremated.  Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson with Dave Hendershot and Pastor Tim Keeton officiating. Friends may gather Saturday, from 3 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
