Sabra H. Miller

Sabra H. Miller, 85 , of Wellston, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, November 5, 2013, at Four Winds Nursing Facility.

She was born on September 20, 1928, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, daughter of the late William Otha Back and Rachel Carroll Back.

She was employed as a waitress at Ginetta’s in Wellston for five years and later as a waitress at American Legion Post # 371 of Wellston. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at Post #371.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband. Willard Thacker in 1991; her second husband, Billy M. Miller Sr. in 1998; two brothers, Bobby and Norman Back; two sisters, Lucille Riffe and Garnet Smith; and step-father, Sam Hicks.

Surviving are a brother, Sam (Paularene) Hicks Jr. of Jackson; two sisters, Barbara Froesch of Alaska and Linda May (Richard) Rife of Knoxville, Tenn.; three stepsons, Gary (Michelle) Miller, Billy (Pam) Miller Jr., and Andy (Betty) Miller; two stepdaughters, June (Fred) Waugh and Belinda (Charlie) Price; and several nieces, nephews, stepgrandchildren, and step greatgrandchildren.

Friends may call at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel in Wellston on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1 p.m. with Pastor Andy Rawlins officiating.

Sabra’s final resting place will be in the Byer Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions in her memory can be made to the American Legion Post # 371 of Wellston.
