Ruth May Ervin, age 64, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017. She was born Oct. 22, 1952 in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late Robert and Inez (Hornsby) Haislop.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Ervin; children: Amber Byrnita Wilson, April Sunshine Ervin (Charles Lee Chatt), Ian Lael Ervin (Diana Kiser), and Annetta Katrina Ervin (Earl Writesel); grandchildren: Dillon, Chris, Devin, Kaci, Jade, Tyler, Claudia, Cassandra, Benjamin, Brice, Raven, and Draedyn; four great-grandchildren; siblings: Beverly Bush, Ann Elliott, Bob Haislop, Jimmy Haislop, and Sandy Byers; mother-in-law, Marjorie Ervin; sister-in-law, Jane Ervin; brother-in-law, Jim Ervin; and her beloved dog, Baby.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, DJ Vance-Ervin and brother, Paul Haislop.
Ruth was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will be held immediately after at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor John Rozewicz officiating. Burial will follow at Vega Cemetery.
