Roy Christopher “Chris” Dempsey, age 56, of Jackson, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Wednesday, December 29, 2021. He was born on May 2, 1965, to the late Andrew Jack Dempsey and Emma Faye (Spearry) Dempsey. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Shawn Dempsey; and a sister, Jackie Alcorn.
He is survived by his son, Caleb Dempsey; nephew, John (Anna) Alcorn; and brother-in-law, Denver Alcorn.
Chris was a long-term and dedicated employee at A and A Truck Stop in Jackson, Ohio. He enjoyed spending time outdoors. His hobbies were hunting and fishing, and he was an avid lover of target shooting.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2022, at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Stansberry officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 11 a.m. up to the time of the service. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home.
