Rosemary E. Manion

Rosemary E. Manion, 88, of Ray, died at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at her daughter’s residence following a brief illness. She was born September 16, 1925, in Ross County, to the late Edgar and Audra Swaney Dixon. On April 20, 1940, she married Ralph L. Manion who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Linda L. (Joseph) Yates, of Ray; grandchildren, Rhonda (Rick) Nichols, Rick Fout, Jodell (Brandon) Long and Marlena Fout, all of Ray; great-grandchildren, Jerrod (Fallon) Nichols, Cassie (Chris) Carver, Kevin (Cathy) Halterman, Deana (Roger) Taylor, Whitney Downard, Conner Hopkins, Courtney, Terra, Tyler and Austin Fout and Brandalyn and Bristol Long; great-great-grandchildren, Zoie and Chole Nichols, Christian Barkley, Robert and David Taylor, Broc Love and Drake Brown; sisters, Dorothy Ratcliff, of Zanesville and Joyce (Milford) Clary, of Londonderry; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by grandsons, Kevin and Terry Fout; brothers, Robert and Edgar Jr. Dixon; and sisters, Elosie Dixon and Donna Jean Glandon.

Rosemary was a member of Log Pile CCCU. She was saved at Boblett Friends Church November 20, 1949 and Sanctified in 1950. Rosemary was a Primary Class Sunday School Teacher for 35 years, was Song Leader at all the following churches: Pleasant Valley Holiness, Adelphi Community Church, Fruit Hill CCCU, Allensville CCCU and Log Pile CCCU.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2014 in the Ware Funeral Home, 121 West Second St., Chillicothe, with Rev. James McFadden and J.B. King officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. Friends may call at Ware’s from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
