Rosella G. Sims, age 103, of Oak Hill, Ohio, passed Wednesday, February 25, 2015 away at her residence with her family by her side. She was born February 18, 1912 in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late William and Alla Priscilla (Gray) Keller.
She loved baking, sitting on her porch, and spending time with her family. She was a great mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by son, Jim (Diana) Sims; grandchildren, Sabrina (Joe) Gill, Laralee (George) Demetriades, Sonja (Eddy) Patton, Leesa (Scott) Lewis, Susan (Bub) King, Ched (Stacy) Adkins, and Grant (Alicia) Lloyd; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Dalton Lewis, Cole and Jessica Sexton, Crystal Demetriades, Stephanie Kraft, Ami Berkemeier, Andrea Rogers, Ben Busic, Kimberly Vargas, Kyla and Leanna Adkins, and Aidan Lloyd; sister, Alberta Hughes; daughter-in-law, Rinalee Sims; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Sims; sons, William “Bill” Sims and Robert Dale Sims; siblings, Max Keller, Melvin Keller, Bill Keller, Marcella Mummy, Loye Maude Scarborough, Virginia “Teddy” Roush, Lucille Crabtree, and Ester Keller.
Friends may call at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill, Ohio on Saturday, February 28, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at the funeral home at 2 p.m. with Pastor Stan Howard officiating.
