Rose Ann Hartley

Rose Ann Hartley passed away June 30, 2014 at Adena Hospital, following a brief illness.

Rose Ann was born August 12, 1939 to Emil and Katie Mae (Wilson) Kearns. She was married on December 21, 1956 to Dallas, her one and only dance partner. She was a loving, giving wife and an incredible mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She loved her home and her family and was an on call AAA driving instructor.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Dallas. She is also survived by one son, Jeff of Kingston, Ohio; one daughter, Angel of Jackson; grandchildren, Dillon (Karisa) DeLay, Dexter DeLay and Katie MaeDeLay; and great-grandchildren, Skyla Alderman, Zaiden, Airabella and Sophie DeLay, and Zenkius DeLay. Also surviving is one sister, Peggy of Goldsboro, N.C. and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Katie Mae Kearns; her brothers, Emil Jr., John (Jack), Robert, Coleman and Bill.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Jackson. Friends and family may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the funeral home. The burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
