Ronald Evans

Ronald Keith Evans, 84, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family Thursday, November 4, 2021. He was born October 27, 1937, in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late Vinton R. and Mary M. Davis Evans. He was a 50-year member of the Masons, serving as the Past Master of the Portland Lodge F&AM #366 and as the District Education Officer, and was a past Patron of the Oak Hill Chapter #449 Order of the Eastern Star. He was also a member of the Jackson Elks #446 and the Jackson Moose Lodge #208. He was retired as an engineer, having worked for 44 years at American Electric Power “AEP” and  did electrical work on the side for Rodney McCorkle Construction.

He enjoyed bowling and pitching horseshoes but, most importantly, he loved his family. He always supported his grandchildren throughout the years in all sporting activities and most recently never missed a game of Taylor & Trent’s. He made many friends over the years at the sporting events and inherited a lot of sports “grand-kids.”

He is survived by his children: Rhonda (Jeff) Hubbard, Lori (Garland) Hafer and Jason (Angie) Evans; grandchildren: Ian Hubbard, Morgan Hale, Gaven Hale, Taylor Evans, Trenton Evans and Brian Coll; and step-grandchildren: Shaun Hubbard, Jonathon Hubbard, Kasey Pelfrey and Jared Hafer. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nancy Lee Evans; daughter, Deanna Waulk; and brother, Stanford Evans.

No calling hours will be observed, but a memorial celebration of life will be held at a later date with family and friends.
