Roger Homer Moore

Roger Homer Moore, age 73, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Jackson, Ohio, July 26, 1942. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Elson and Nancy Jane (Nichols) Moore, an infant daughter, two brothers, James Moore and Clyde Moore; two sisters, Freda Moore Yerian and Julia Moore Puckett and a grandson, Cody James Bocook.

He is survived by his wife, Lora (Wooten) Moore; six daughters and three sons: Connie Wooten (Joe Sickles) of Jackson, Angela Moore (Thomas Reider) of Dayton, Bonnie Moore (Josh Timmons) of Indiana, Roger (Tammy) Moore, of Jackson, Nancy Moore of Troy, Lorena Moore (Danny Clendenon) of Troy, Paul Moore of Jackson, Martha Moore (Jason Kerns) of Jackson and William Moore of Jackson; 22 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; two brothers, William Moore and Gary Moore; two sisters, Bonnie Moore Malone and Gladys Moore.

Roger was a U.S. Army veteran, enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his 4-wheeler.

Funeral service will be held at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home Friday, Aug. 21, at 1 p.m. Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will follow in the Bethel Ridge Cemetery.
