Robert “Pete” A. Corvin

By | August 15, 2018

Steadfast. Patient. Kindhearted. Longsuffering. Outgoing. Faithful. These are but a few words that describe Robert A. “Pete” Corvin, 63, of Wellston, who passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at his home. He was born on September 15, 1954, in Wellston, Ohio, son of the late Robert and Mary (Bentley) Corvin.

Pete was a very good man and friend to many. His loyalty was unparalleled. Hard work and dedication were words he lived by and principles he instilled into his children. A very well-known individual, Pete was currently an employee with Wellston City Schools where he drove a bus for 28+ years. “He always arrived early and started all the buses for everyone.” He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding his motorcycle, and of course, working on and washing the buses getting into all the crack and crevices that are usually overlooked, especially underneath. Pete Corvin: an all-around loving husband and “family man” who will be missed by many.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sherry (Allen) Corvin; sons, Samuel and Joey (Erin) Corvin; daughter, Rachel (Robert) Smith; 8 grandchildren: Madison, Haley, Shawn, Nickolai, Makayla, Jeremiah, Lilliana, and Jonathan; sisters, Robin Corvin and Michelle (Hank) Goheen; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service celebrating Pete’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 20, 2018, in the chapel of R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 W. Broadway St., Wellston, with Pastor Eric Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in Byer Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Suday, August 19, 2018, from 4 to 8 p.m.
