Robert “Dutch” Lambert

Robert “Dutch” Lambert, age 94, of Clay, passed away Friday, January 16, 2015 at his home. He was born June 5, 1921 in Clay to the late John P. and Mabel (McGowan) Lambert. He was a WWII veteran and later worked at Chun King and RJ Reynolds.

He is survived by one son, Bill Lambert; grandson that he raised, Bobby (Krystal) Lambert of Oak Hill; and grandchildren, John (Janice) Lambert and Brenda Little (John); as well as several great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rosella Judy Lambert, brothers, Lowell Lambert and Chester Lambert; sisters, Peggy Asher and Eva Innis; and infant sister, Sally Ann.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. A memorial graveside service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
