He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Enid (Wallace) Hensley; son, Rickey (Brandy) Hensley Jr.; daughter, Barbie (James Williams) Hensley; two brothers, Danny Hensley, of South Carolina and Timothy Hensley, of Sciotoville, Ohio; two sisters, Jean Anne (Paul) Sisler, of Wheelersburg, OH and Pamela (Timothy) Lewis Sr., of Sciotoville, OH; four grandsons, Kyle (Roxanne) Hargett, Christopher (Hunter) Hargett, Cody Hargett and Tyler (Heidi) Hensley; granddaughters, Jordan Hatten and Chelsea Hensley; nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Rickey worked at Lundsford’s Sardis Auto for 27 years.  He raced in 1976-1977 at the Southern Ohio Speedway.  After his one year of racing, he helped numerous local race car drivers.  He was actively involved in the racing community for the last 40 years.  During this time, he got his son, Rickey Jr. involved in racing and together they raced for the next 20 years.

He lived for his wife, grandchildren and great grandchildren and they are the reason he kept going the last several years.  He loved sitting on the porch and waving at you, even if he did not know you.  He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.
