Richard Lee Waugh, age 80, of Oak Hill went home to be with the Lord after an extended illness at home on May 18, 2017. He was born in Jackson on August 23, 1936 to the late Frank and Gladys (Benson) Waugh.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Wanda (Crabtree) Waugh; son, Richard Lee Waugh Jr., both of Oak Hill; granddaughter, Kayci Waugh and grandson, Mason Waugh, both of Columbus. He is also survived by his brother, Larry Dean Waugh, of Jackson; four sisters, Helen Taylor, Shirley Daniels and Brenda Mullins, all of Jackson and Betty Branscomb, of Groveport, Ohio and several nieces, nephews, relatives and a host of friends.
In addition to his parents, Richard is preceded in death by his sister, Genevieve Graham and his brothers, Frankie, Henry, Stanley (Bud) and Roger Waugh.
Richard served in the Navy and retired from KCI of Jackson. He was a very caring husband, father, grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Friends may call Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 4-8 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, May 22, 2017 at the funeral home with Pastor David Staiger officiating. Burial will follow in Horeb Cemetery.
