By | January 27, 2021

Rhonda “Missy” M. Duncan, 48, of Jackson, passed away on Monday, Jan. 25, 2021 at her home. She was born on Sept. 28, 1972, in Gallipolis, Ohio, daughter of the late Ronald Jarvis and Judy (Ousley) Jarvis, who survives.

Missy’s number one trait was her ability to care for others. This was made evident by her job as a nurse’s aide. In her earlier years, she was considered the “family babysitter,” having taken care of many of the family’s youngsters. She enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with her family. Some of her favorite activities were camping, cooking out, or sitting around bon fires sharing stories of times past. She had a love for the beach but was only able to visit once. Missy will be greatly missed by many.

In addition to her mother, Judy, Missy is survived by her children: Tasha (John) Rose, Joseph (Kayla) Duncan, and Kylan Garnes; six grandchildren: Kenadi, Ashlynn, Red, Aubree, Erin, and Paisley; brother, Brian (Diane) Jarvis; sister, Kim Perry; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Brent Jarvis.

A funeral service celebrating Missy’s life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 W. Broadway St., Wellston, with Pastor Brooks Knechtly officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home also on Saturday two hours prior to the service from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Missy’s name may be made to R.M. Williams Funeral service to help with funeral expenses. Please visit www.rmwilliamsfuneralservice.com to leave a message of comfort, encouragement, or condolence to the family or to view Missy’s online video tribute.
