Raymond G. Shaner

Raymond G. Shaner, age 63, of Oak Hill, OH passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 3, 2013.

Raymond was born October 9, 1949. He was the son of Ruth and the late Paul Shaner.

Raymond was retired from Southern Ohio Correctional Facility, and he was a veteran of the United States Army. Raymond was also a member of the Masonic Lodge 366 of Oak Hill, Ohio.

Raymond is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda (Bowens) Shaner. To this union was born two children, Crystal (Phil) Millhouse of Jackson, Ohio and Heath (Alicia) Shaner, also of Jackson,Ohio. Three grandchildren also survive; Tierany Tobert, and Myah and Case Shaner.

He is also survived by 4 sisters, Cathy Keith, Donna Young, Susan Morgan, and Anita Stickley.

Several sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews, as well as many friends, including special friend of the family, Lori Stiltner, also survive.

Preceding him in death was his beloved mother-in-law Mabel Bowens.

Raymond was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.

Funeral services are under the direction of Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Friends and family may call Thursday, Sept. 5, from 5 p.m.-9 p.m.; with a Masonic service in his honor at 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 6, at 1 p.m. with Rev.
