By | June 29, 2017

Randall L. “Randy” Watson, age 63, of Oak Hill, left this earthly journey to join God to start his heavenly journey on June 27, 2017 at the OSU James Cancer hospital after a long, hard battle with cancer. God said, “let me take your pain” and called Randy home, leaving behind the love of his life, his wife of 43 years, Sheryle “Sherrie” (Jenkins) Watson; his one and only son, Michael L. Watson; brothers, Ray (Patty) Willis Jr., Billy Watson, and Keith Watson; sisters, D.J. Hesch, Debbie (Mike) Collins, Pam Watson, Valerie (John) Schalliol, and Robyn (Kenny) Stumbo. Also surviving are his sister-in-law, Eloise (Tony) Salyers, brother-in-law, Greg Jenkins and many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends; as well as two pets, Coco and Camille.

Randy was born June 15, 1954 to the late Willie and Dottie (Donley) Watson. He was the sixth child of eleven. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister, Rhonda Tindall and his brother, Jeff Watson. Also preceding him in death are his mother and father-in-law, Spurgeon and Patricia Jenkins and brothers-in-law, Bob (Sue) Jenkins and Bill Jenkins.

Randy was the most dedicated, devoted loyal family man there was, always putting his family first above his wants and pain. He was a former employee of Merillat Industries and Asplundh. His passions were animals, children and the elderly. He loved gardening, doing yard work, and long hours of canning with the whole family. He loved to socialize with all, he never knew a stranger. But most of all, he loved making his family happy.
