Ralph Cardwell Jr., 35, of Wellston, passed away Friday, August 30, 2013. The son of the late Ralph and Mary Roach Cardwell, he was born December 3, 1977, at Gallipolis, Ohio. Ralph worked as a laborer in the construction trades.
Survivors include a son, Brett Cardwell Long of Florida; a brother, Phillip (Martha) Sorrell of Vinton; a sister, Alice Sorrell of Xenia; and his aunt, Dorothy Durham of Wellston. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and his good friend, Rob Coffee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Tarra Good.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 11 a.m. to noon at the Huntley & Cremeens Funeral Home in Wellston. A funeral service will follow at the conclusion of calling hours and burial will be in the Fisher Cemetery in Vinton County. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Huntley & Cremeens Funeral Home.
