Rachel Dawn Canode

Rachel Dawn Canode, age 41, of Wellston, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021, at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson, Ohio.  She was born Dec. 6, 1979 in Gallipolis, Ohio to Keith Edward Canode and Kathy Lynn Sims Canode. 

Rachel was employed at Tri Mold in Circleville.  She was a loving and caring person who could definitely be depended on by her family and friends.  Rachel enjoyed her family time, as well as being outdoors, hunting and fishing. 

She is survived by her mother, Kathy Waugh of Wellston; longtime companion, Jeff Linton of Wellston; children, Bryanna Linton, Makayla Linton,  Braxton Linton and Trinity Linton, all of Wellston; brother, Brian Canode of Hamden; nephew, Kaymen Canode, stationed in South Korea; grandmother, Ann Canode of Jackson; uncles, Denny Canode of Jackson, Greg Canode of The Plains, Todd Canode of Clay City, Kentucky and Kenneth Sims of Columbus; along with several cousins and friends. 

Rachel was preceded in death by her father, Keith Canode; sons, Jason Dominic Creedon and Brandon Linton; and grandparents, Kenneth Sims, Sr., Ruth Ann Sims and Harley Canode. 

Calling hours will be Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jim Eberts officiating.  Burial will be in the Hamden Cemetery.
