Polly Miranda (Morris) Byrd, age 81, of Jackson, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Edgewood Manor in Wellston. She was born October 7, 1929 in Alice, Ohio to the late Barney and Cora (Welch) Morris. She was the last of 12 children.
She was a retired beautician and taught at Pickaway-Ross JVS cosmetology and anatomy, and member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
She is survived by four daughters, Lana Shields Dameron of Coalton, Ohio, Jean Shields (James) Parker of Nappanee, Ind., Jane Shields Combs of Vinton, County, Ohio and Donna June Shields (Gary) Miller of Tippecanoe, Ind.; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren also survive.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers, seven sisters and one grandson, Randy Miller.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2012 at the Eisnaugle-Lewis Funeral Home with burial to follow in Ridgewood Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 10 a.m. till the time of the service at 11 a.m.
