Peter Hills, 61, of Jackson, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on March 9, 2018 after a brief illness. He was born April 27, 1956 to the late Barbara Hills of Surrey, England. Other than his mother, Peter was preceded in death by two wives, Claire Hills of New Zealand and Jewell Hills of Jackson, Ohio, and a sister, Linda Hills of Surrey, England.
Though Peter never had any children of his own, he is survived by three step-children who admire him dearly; David McGhee of Bedford, Ohio, Kelly McGhee of Jackson, Ohio and Eric (Jamie) McGhee of Jackson, Ohio; as well as three grandchildren, Madison, Gage and Zane and his special furbaby, Lacy.
Peter was a man of many talents. He enjoyed woodworking, reading, photography, and especially writing. He had four books published and was writing a fifth novel. Peter studied at the London College of Furniture where he learned the art of furniture making; he was a photographer for Vivid Images Photography and a pizza chef for Little Caesars. He was a devoted member of Victory Chapel Church-UMC in Jackson where he enjoyed worshiping the Lord and assisting in Bible Study.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Victory Chapel Church-UMC, 630 Jackson Hill Rd., Jackson, Ohio, beginning at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Victory Chapel Church (c/o A.J. Benard) in memory of Peter Hills.
