Peter B. Bush, III of Pickerington, Ohio – a former longtime resident of Wellston – entered into eternal rest on May 14, 2022. He was 93 years old. The son of the late Peter B. Bush and Susan B. Bush, Peter was born January 9, 1929, in Goshen, New York.
He attended school in Harriman and graduated from Central Valley High School in 1947. He then graduated from Ithaca College and received his Master’s of Education at Arizona State University. He loved to play and later coach sports and while in school participated on several teams. Peter was also a veteran and served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Throughout his life, Peter enjoyed traveling, giving to others and living in different areas in the United States. He taught school in New York, Nevada, Arizona and Wellston, Ohio.
Peter is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marjorie Giering Bush, who resides in Pickerington, formerly from Middletown, New York; his sons: Peter H. Bush (Linda) of Pickerington, David (Angela) Bush of Monroe, North Carolina, brother Parshall Bush (Linda) of Athens, Georgia; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary B. Walsh.
He was ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was the greatest Dad a son could hope for and was cherished by those who knew him. He lived a celebrated life!
He will be interred at Highland Mills, New York. A memorial celebration will occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Unity Church of Delaware, Ohio.
