Peggy (McNerlin) Henry, age 63, of Oak Hill, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022, at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. She was born June 23, 1958, in Oak Hill to the late George and Delorce (Cook) McNerlin.
She is survived by her daughters: Pattie (Bill) Zinn and Tammy Betts; grandchildren: Eric Zinn, Danielle Zinn, Macy Zinn, Kylan Childers, and Steven Betts; great grandchildren: Jaxon Cogar, Allie Williams, Teddy Zinn and Morticia Childers. She is also survived by her sisters: Rita Crabtree and Linda (Larry) Smith; brothers: Randy (Tina) McNerlin and Bill (Julie) McNerlin; and several nieces and nephews. Lastly, she is survived by her boyfriend, George Strickland; and her best friend, Octavia McGuire, both of whom held a special place in her heart, and who she loved dearly.
At her request, her body was cremated. Friends may visit Wednesday, January 5, 2022, from 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill.
