Pearl C. Perkins

Pearl C. Perkins, age 81, of Wellston, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson, Ohio. She was born July 1, 1931 in Hamden, Ohio to the late Raymond R. Simmons and Marguerite A. Frakes Simmons.

Pearl was a 1949 graduate of Wellston High School. She was retired from the Wellston City School District where she was employed as an administrative secretary at the Prins building for 27 years. Pearl was a loving mother and grandmother and she was an avid bingo player.

She is survived by three sons, Mark Perkins (Michele Waldron) of Wellston, Rik Perkins (Cheryl) of Wellston and Mike Perkins (Stephanie) of Coalton; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Barb Simmons of Wellston; sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Bill Dewey of Columbus, as well as seven grandchildren, one step-grandson, one great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Harry G. Perkins.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with John Pelletier, CLP officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgewood Cemetery.
