Paul I. Davis, age 89, of Jackson, passed away at his home Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Howard and Audrey (Atkinson) Davis.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Mary Kathryn (Cole) Davis; brothers, Jim, Karl and Joe; and sisters, Marcia and Doris.
He is survived by his children, Kathy (Bob) Newell, of Findlay, OH, Richard (Barbara) Davis, of Summerville, SC, Ted Davis, of Nashville TN, David (Beth) Davis, of Jackson, OH and Brent (Becky) Davis, of Nashville, TN; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; brothers, John and Bill; and sisters, Alice and Janet.
Paul was an Air Force WW II veteran, serving in the Pacific. He graduated from Purdue University in 1953 and worked for Goodyear Atomic for 40 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson for 62 years.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Jackson with Pastor Tim Keeton officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount. Friends may call Monday, Dec. 18, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson.
