Patty L. Elkins, age 63, of Patriot, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at the Ohio State University Hospital – East in Columbus, Ohio. She was born in Vinton County on August 16, 1952 to the late Burman and Virginia (McClaskey) Stewart. In addition to her parents, a great-grandchild, Wyatt Sowers, and a sister, Carol (Ray) Worrix preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Elkins; sons: Pete Pittman of Hamden and Zack Sowers of Allensville; daughters: Gina Pittman of Jackson and Tressa (Dave) Lester of Beaver; and step-daughters: Ashlie (Rodney) Cornell of Bidwell, Angela (William) Houck of Rio Grande, Mackenzie Shaw of Newport News, Virginia and Bridgette (Chris) Dodson of Bidwell. Also surviving are her brothers: Tommy (Sandy) Stewart, Joe Stewart and Burman Stewart, Jr.; sisters: Mary (Jim) Woltz of Allensville and Cheryl (Carl) Rodenburry of Jackson; 11 grandsons and 7 granddaughters.
No calling hours will be observed. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the VFW in McArthur.
