Patrick Stephen Hill

Patrick Stephen Hill, 67, of Wellston, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017 at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. He was born on Sept. 3, 1950, son of the late Marshall and Grace Ellen (Morris) Hill. Pat was very well known for his love of horses. He enjoyed farming, working draft horses, and riding horses. In addition to this, he really liked anything yellow; especially Caterpillar heavy equipment, Chevys, and Mack Trucks. A member of the Wellston McDonald’s liars club, Pat was a man with real compassion for the elderly, young children, and animals. He will be greatly missed by many.

He is survived by his loving family: wife, Brenda Melvin Hill; daughters, Michelle (Gene) Tribby and Amy (Virgil) Lewis; step sons, Matt (Kerry) Kendrick and Jason (Twila) Kendrick; grandchildren, Noah Hill, Marshall Dearing, Abigail Tribby, Jonah Lewis, and Chloe Lewis; step-grandchildren, Cameron Kendrick, Reid Kendrick, Brielle Kendrick, and Brenden Kendrick; brothers, Michael Hill and Arthur Hill; sisters, Lavern Boyer, Grace Hill, Janet Wyatt, and Doris Crowe; mother-in-law, Lillian Thomas; brother-in-law, Jeff Melvin; sister-in-law, Lisa Abele; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Pat was preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene, Marshall G., and infant brother, Joseph; sisters, Avis Wieske, Delores Terry, and infant sister, Nellie; as well as his father-in-law, Eugene Melvin.

A funeral service celebrating Pat’s life will be held on Monday, Nov. 13, 2017 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 West Broadway Street, with Pastor Terry Geer officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.
