Patricia “Patty” Kay Henry

Patricia “Patty” Kay Henry, 79, of Jackson, Ohio, went home with her Lord on Monday, July 20, 2020, at the Holzer Medical Center-Jackson ER. She was born in Wellston, Ohio, on Aug. 13, 1940, to the late Lawrence O. Thompson, Sr. and Minnie Henneman Thompson.

She was a 1958 graduate of Hamden High School. She was a former chemical operator at the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant south of Piketon. She had many hobbies including Bible study, bead working, doing puzzles and coloring, and watching out her window at all the birds at her bird feeder.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jimmy Adkins; three brothers, Joseph Henry Thompson, Lawrence O. “Bud” Thompson, and Ronald Watson Thompson; and a sister, Jeanne Stone.

She is survived by three daughters: Sherry (James) Adkins of Richwood, Ohio; Pamela (Larry) Fravel of Etna, Ohio; and Cindy Jewell of Jackson, Ohio; a son, Brice (Jen) Henry, Jr. of Wellston; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Kitty (Bob) Stauffer of Columbus, Ohio; three sisters-in-law: Louise Smith, Mary Bishop, and Judy Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.

The family invites friends to a visitation at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel in Wellston on Friday, July 24 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Jenkins Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Hamden Cemetery.

Please only use the side porch doors at the funeral chapel and observe social distancing while inside the chapel.
