Ora E. Durham, age 85 of Jackson, passed away on Tuesday, May 18 at the Ayden Healthcare of Jackson. He was born in Jackson on April 26, 1936 to the late Ora and Geneva (Carter) Durham. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, one daughter, three brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby J. (Crabtree) Durham, four sons, three daughters, one brother and four sisters, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ora had lived in Jackson County all his life. He loved doing all different kinds of work – including making furniture, driving his truck, and working on anything mechanical. He could take a car apart and put in back together blindfolded.
