Ollie Adkins, 73, of Oak Hill, went to be with the Lord on December 2, 2013 at Four Winds in Jackson.

He was born on July 21, 1940 in Oak Hill, to the late Dave and Minetta Crabtree Adkins of Oak Hill.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Linda Adkins; three sons, Ricky (Angie) Adkins, Dwayne Adkins and Krystal, and Jeremy Adkins; one daughter, Sabrina (Kenny) Burton; his step-mom Gladys Adkins; sister Joyce Slone; six grandkids, Amanda Adkins and Nate, Haley Burton, Michael Adkins, Brooke Burton, Amber Burton, and Riley Adkins; one great grandkid Cassidy Bing; two step-grandkids Brad (Amanda) Miller, Andy (Leah) Miller; two step-great grandkids Wyatt and Ayden Miller; and many nieces, nephews, and friends all of Oak Hill.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers Kent and Wille Adkins of Oak Hill; two sisters Josephine Kuhn of Oak Hill and Jewel Hackley of Albany, GA.

Ollie served in the United States Army from 1959-1961.

Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday December 5, at the Grace Christian Center, former Oak Hill Hospital, with Pastor Dave Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery. Friends and family may call 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, at Grace Christian Center and also 12-1 p.m. Thursday prior to the service.
