Norma Jean (Radabaugh) Hughes

Norma Jean (Radabaugh) Hughes went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 14, 2016. She was born on January 9, 1937 in Oak Hill to the late Orville and Flossie (Crabtree) Radabaugh.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Brinton E. Hughes, of Oak Hill; children, Brenda (Ron) Malone, of Marion, Ohio, Melissa (Ralph) Miller, of Oak Hill, Randy (Bonita) Hughes, of South Webster; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Clyde (Maggie) Radabaugh, of Circleville, Dale Radabaugh, of Coalton, Bill (Janet) Radabaugh and Mike Radabaugh, all of Jackson; sisters, Shirley Jones, Carol (Keith) Hall, Phyllis Warner and Rosemary Reese, all of Oak Hill; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bobbie Radabaugh; sisters, Ruth Hansgen and June Thurston; sons, Brinton and Jimmy Hughes; daughter, Gina (Hughes) Adkins; grandson, Ronnie Malone and granddaughter, Emily Canter.

Norma was a Navy wife for many years. She loved camping, singing and doing for others. She was well known for baking and decorating cakes for all occasions. She was a member of Freedom Baptist Church in Jackson.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, January 17, 2016 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill with Norma Jean’s son, Pastor Randy Hughes officiating.
