Norma J. Grow, age 96, of Jackson, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2020 at the Oakwood Community Health Center. She was born on May 13, 1924 in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late Aaron Frederick and Lydia Burns (Howell) Hammond. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight F. Grow, a granddaughter, Jenny, and five brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by her daughters: Linda D. (W. Andrew) Elliott, Barbara A. (Joesph) Turnage and Marilyn J. (Kenneth) Maynard; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one sister, Shirley (William) Stone.
Norma was a member of Good Shepard Wesleyan Church where she was involved with many activities. She also enjoyed gardening, quilting, painting and sewing.
Funeral services will be held at Good Shepard Wesleyan Church on Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 11 a.m., with Pastors Steven Bolin and Herman Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at McCune Cemetery.
