Nora S. “Peach” Spriggs, age 97, of Jackson, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 30, 2020, surrounded by her loving family at the Four Winds Community. She was born in Kentucky on June 19, 1922 to the late Charles and Lillie (Alley) Blevins.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edison V. Spriggs; sons: David and Gary Spriggs; five brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Lillie Snyder (Ike Murphy); son, Charley (Lorrie) Blevins; daughter-in-law, Anita Spriggs, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
“Peach” was a member of High Praise Ministries and enjoyed her church life. She also enjoyed cooking and gardening.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, May 4 at 1 p.m. at Bethel Ridge Cemetery with Pastor Travis Potts officiating.
There will be public visitation at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral home on Sunday, May 3 from 4 to 8 p.m. Per recommendations from the Ohio Department of Health and the Jackson County Health Department, during the public visitation, visitors may pay their respects, as one family unit at a time, while maintaining no physical contact and proper social distancing guidelines observed; and the flow of the visitation will be directed by the Mayhew-Brown staff. The wearing of facial masks is highly encouraged.
