Nona Joye Saltsman

Nona Joye Saltsman, age 86, of Wellston, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016, at the Huston’s Nursing Home in Hamden. She was born January 4, 1930 in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Harry Clyde Womeldorf and Garnet Reed Womeldorf.

Joye was a 1947 graduate of Wellston High School. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, and she was a member of the Zion #3 Church in Wellston. Joye was a big supporter of Secret Santa of Jackson County and she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Joye is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Cindy Saltsman of Wellston; granddaughters, Monica Ford (Jeremy) and Mallory Conley (John Paul); great-grandchildren, Aden and Blaise Ford and Declan Conley; and cousin, Reed Ervin (Leeanna).

Besides her parents, Joye was preceded in death by her husband, Edward E. Saltsman, and her daughter, Susie Saltsman.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Rev. Chuck Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the Hamden Cemetery.
