Nellie Mae Hensley

Nellie Mae Hensley, age 85, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Charles Stephen Grant and Lucy May (Copas) Grant of Berlin Crossroads of Wellston, Ohio. She was the 10th child and was reared with the rest of the family on a large and distinguished family-owned dairy business, called the C.W. Grant Dairy and after three generations is now owned by her daughter, Susan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Pierce Monroe Hensley. She leaves behind her two daughters, Kathy (John) Morgan and Susan (Don) Morgan, both of Jackson County. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom reside in Jackson County; as well as sisters, Marie Murray of Wellston, Ohio and Mary Vance of Akron, Ohio; along with several nieces and nephews.

Nellie enjoyed working at the local pants factories and she retired from the Chun King Food Plant of Jackson, Ohio in the 70s. She was blessed to have a wonderful group of friends and neighbors throughout her lifetime to rely on as her health failed her. She will truly be missed by neighbors, especially Linda and her close friend, Leah Scott and all of her family.

Per her wishes, no calling hours will be observed. Burial will be held at Glen Roy Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
