Nancy Josephine (Haslett) Niehoff

Nancy Josephine (Haslett) Niehoff, age 82, of Jackson, passed away Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019 at her home.  She was born June 5, 1937 in Akron, Ohio to the late James and Helen (Osa) Haslett.

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Niehoff; son, Gregory (Maïcha) Niehoff; grandchildren, Christian, Noah, Amina, Sabina, Annah and Karrina; and nephew, Hassan Diarra. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Ned Niehoff; brother, J.W. Haslett and sister-in-law, Donna Haslett.

Nancy loved singing at the Christ United Methodist Church and the Fellowship Baptist Church in Spring Valley.  She especially loved to arrange medleys of her favorite hymns. She was known as a knitter, knitting countless sweaters, hats, mittens and socks for her family and friends and showcasing her work at the Markay and Southern Hills Arts Council.  Her pies were well known around the area, often bringing in high dollar bids at charity auctions. 

Friends may call Thursday, Oct. 31, 2019 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. at the Christ United Methodist Church with Pastor Jay Madigan officiating.  Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery.  Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com
