By | December 30, 2020

Michael William Detillion, 65, of Wellston, passed away on Monday, Dec. 28, 2020, at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis. Mike was born on Sept. 8, 1955, son of the late Donald and Barbara Ann (Odle) Detillion.

A Christian by faith, Mike attended LifeSource Apostolic Church in Wellston. He enjoyed listening to gospel music and hearing the Word of God preached. Mike also enjoyed watching television. Some of his favorite shows were Blue Bloods, Chicago P.D., NCIS, and Mountain Men. Although bad eyesight was beginning to prevent it, Mike like working on cars. He liked camping, spending time with his family, and four-wheeling. Well, when it came to four-wheeling most of his time was actually spent pulling out the kids when they got stuck. He will be missed by many.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; sons, Jimmy Detillion and John Detillion; daughters, Ami Detillion, Tammy (Evan) Rice, and Michelle (Tim) Rheinsmith; three grandchildren, Michael Scott Detillion, Trent Detillion, and Brianna Rheinsmith; brother, John (Denise) Sears; brother-in-law, Jim Smith; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Smith.

A graveside service honoring Mike’s life will be held in Fairmount Cemetery, Jackson, on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021 at 3 p.m., with Pastor Michael Jadrnicek officiating.
