Michael Walter Key, Sr.

Michael Walter Key, Sr., age 51, of Wellston, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at the Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, from injuries received in an automobile accident. He was born May 31, 1963 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio to the late Gordan Pearce Key and Jacqueline Weigan Key. 

Mike was a 1981 graduate of North Olmstead High School. He was a retired truck driver, having worked for Montgomery Trucking in Wellston for several years. 

He is survived by his wife, Geraldeen Dickerson Key of Wellston; son, Michael Walter Key, Jr. of Cleveland; grandson, Sebastian Snider Key; step-sons, David A. Kisor of Jackson, Douglas P. Kisor of Kentucky and Devin G. Kisor of Wellston; step-daughter, Krista Dye of Grafton, Oh.; sisters, Michelle Brown of Lorraine, Denise Keifer of Dry Branch, Ga., and Christine McChort of S. C.; brother, Douglas Key of Elyria; aunt, Marilyn Corbley of Grafton, Oh., as well as 9 step-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

In keeping with Mike’s wishes, his body was cremated. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Jackson County Humane Society, P.O. Box 1, Jackson, Ohio 45640.
