Mathem “Matt” Maynard, age 85, of Bellefontaine Ohio, formerly of Oak Hill, passed away Saturday October 27, 2012 at Heartland of Bellefontaine. He was born Feb. 25, 1927 in West Virginia to the late George and Edna Maynard.
He is survived by his one son, David (Brenda) Maynard, of Oak Hill; one daughter, Roberta Miller, of Bellefontaine; three grandsons, Brian Maynard, of Oak Hill, Chris Miller, of the Philippines and Jeff Miller, of Bellefontaine; four great-grandchildren, Zach and Riley Maynard, and Austin and Alexis Miller. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Elsie and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, at the Lewis-Gillum Funeral Home with Clarence Baker officiating. Burial will follow in C.M. Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
