Mary Ellen (Jackson) Swann

Mary Ellen (Jackson) Swann was born Tuesday, Aug. 16, 1932 in Raccoon Township in Gallia County, Ohio to the late Ray and Hermia Jackson.

She is survived by siblings: John (Marle) of Columbus, Ohio, Ray Dennis (Vernelle) of Piketon, Ohio, James (Margaret) of Carey, Ohio, and Steve (Yvonne) of Sycamore, Ohio. Two loving sisters, Shirley and Helen, preceded her in death and they undoubtedly welcomed her with joy as she stepped into the realms of glory on Monday, March 9, 2020. Mary was united in holy matrimony to Robert Gene Swann on August 30, 1952. Their union brought forth four children including daughters: Pamela Swann Miller (deceased), Debra Miller (Jr.), Barbara Rolsten (Tom), and son, Robert Swann (Cindy), all of whom reside in Findlay, Ohio where Mary also lived. Mary was blessed with seven grandchildren: Christopher Bloomfield (Katie) of Granville, Ohio, Eric Miller, Bradley Bloomfield (Gina), Tiffany Risner (George), and LeAnna McGuire (Matt) all of Findlay, Ohio, Alisha Lund (Allen, Jr.) of Upper Sandusky Ohio, and Ashley Swann of Tiffin, Ohio. She also has 16 great-grandchildren.

She also has 16 great-grandchildren.

Mary was a member of the Oak Hill Free Will Baptist Church and was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company of Jackson, Ohio. She was a homemaker, loving mother, and devoted grandmother who had a wicked sense of humor. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and gardening.

Visitation hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home, Jackson, Ohio. A graveside memorial service and interment will follow at 1 p.m. at New Zion Cemetery.
